Not at this time. However, MTCC offers sliding scale fees to make counseling more affordable. If you're worried that cost may be a barrier, give us a call.
Counseling sessions generally run from 50-5 minutes. This give us enough time to talk, process, and work through practical steps without feeling rushed.
I keep it straightforward and practical - no fluff, no jargon. Sessions with me are collaborative, we'll talk honestly about challenges, work on strategies that fit your life, and, if you want, integrate faith into the process.
A Marriage & Family Therapist, like Allen, is trained to see people not just as isolated individuals, but as part of larger systems—families, relationships, workplaces, etc. The challenges you face don’t happen in isolation, and therapy is most effective when it takes into account how all these pieces connect.
Even though “marriage” and “family” are in the title, MFTs regularly work with individuals. Many men come in on their own to work through stress, anger, burnout, or questions about purpose and direction. Others may choose to bring in their spouse or family member when relationships are part of what they want to focus on.
Whether we’re working one-on-one or with others in the room, the goal is the same: helping you move forward with support customized to your life.
Most men I work with haven't. That's normal. You don't need experience to work with me. Counseling offers a judgement-free space to talk honestly, learn practical tools, and work through challenges at your own pace.
If life feels heavy, you feel stuck, or you just want to handle things better, counseling can help.
This is common. Many men start counseling because a spouse suggests it. My sessions are judgement-free, practical, and focused on tools that help you and your relationships. Even skeptical clients often find it worth their time.
If you're still unsure, contact Allen for a free 10-minute consultation to see if counseling could be helpful to you!
Not at all. I welcome clients from all walks of life. My faith shapes how I approach therapy and how I see all people as worthy of respect and care. But you don't have to share my faith to benefit from our work together.
It depends on your goals and your availability. Many clients start out weekly and then move to biweekly or monthly as they make progress. We'll decide together what makes the most sense for you.
